Freelance Solicitors Professional Indemnity Insurance
Recently, the SRA amended its rules to allow a new trading style of “freelance solicitors” to operate from November 2019. Few have taken the opportunity as yet, partly because they have been unable to secure freelance solicitors professional indemnity insurance (PII).
Our freelance solicitors PII extends to cover the full range of both reserved and non-reserved activities being undertaken by freelance solicitors where they undertake business on their own.
Do I need Freelance Solicitors Professional Indemnity Insurance?
Freelance Solicitors’ Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) is mandatory for all practicing Freelance Solicitors as a requirement of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). By providing cover against civil liability claims, it enhances a freelance solicitor’s financial security, while protecting clients with the required PII cover mandated by the SRA.
